Yvonne Stone studied Puppetry at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London having previously attended the Byam Shaw School of Art. She is now an independent puppet designer, maker and performer and her work involves making and performing puppets for film, television and theatre.


     Her credits for television include the CBeebies production Space Pirates, for which Yvonne created all the puppet elements. Yvonne played the part of 'DibDab' in the BAFTA nominated DoodleDo. She also performed in the Roly Mo Live Show.


     Yvonne is a co-founder of Sorcerer Baklava puppet company who have performed at the Edinburgh Festival, the National Theatre's Watch This Space and the Battersea Arts Centre with their acclaimed show 'A World In Your Shell-Like'.

     Yvonne has held puppetry workshops at the National Theatre, Young Vic Theatre, and the Central School, and has acted as a puppetry advisor on Nation, His Dark Materials and Macbeth the opera, amongst others.


     Yvonne is always keen to develop new techniques and ideas. She employs a wide variety of skills from the traditional to the modern, using the latest technology and materials to help develop her creations. She has a fully equipped workshop in London.
